Is there anything I can do to get the best possible pictures?
Yes! DRINK LOTS OF WATER – please stay well hydrated for several days prior to your appointment. Fluid around the baby’s face helps us get beautiful pictures. If your baby is more active at a certain time of day, please schedule your appointment around that time. If your baby responds to sugary foods, please have some prior to your appointment.
Do I need a full bladder?
No, we actually prefer your bladder to be empty.
Does insurance cover this service?
No, this is an elective ultrasound. We accept credit cards and cash.
Is this harmful to mother or baby?
Studies have shown that there is no harm to mother or baby from ultrasound when administered by trained professionals. All of our technologists are registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and have extensive training and experience in performing obstetric ultrasound.
Does this take the place of my ultrasound that my doctor gives me a prescription for?
No, this ultrasound is for entertainment purposes only. You will still need to get a diagnostic medical ultrasound ordered by your physician.
Do I need a referral, order, or prescription to come to All About Baby?
No.
Am I guaranteed to find out the gender of my baby?
No, not always. It depends on the cooperation of your baby. If we can not tell the baby’s gender during your session, you can come back in a week or so at no charge for a quick peek and one gender picture.
Am I guaranteed good pictures?
No not always. This also depends of the cooperation of your baby and maternal anatomy. If we can’t see your baby’s face, you may return one time at no charge to try to get a good face picture.
What are you hours of operations?
Our hours are by appointment only, but we are very flexible! Please contact us, we can meet almost any request for appointment times.
Are family and friends allowed to come for the ultrasound?
Yes. Our large office can accommodate lots of people. We have a love seat and sofa that will seat up to 5 people, with standing room for plenty more.
Is your office handicap accessible?
Yes. There is handicapped parking in the front of our building. There is an elevator to take you to our floor.
